Diet Doctor said a bankruptcy trustee had taken over the company before Andreas Eenfeldt relaunched the low-carb brand with new ownership, daily chef-made keto recipes and a push to improve search, site performance and app usability.
In his community notice, Eenfeldt said the bankruptcy followed “several challenging years” and a funding round the company could not complete. He later framed the relaunch as a “new chapter” after 18 years building Diet Doctor, a signal that this was meant to be more than a cosmetic refresh.

The biggest change is in the content machine. Diet Doctor already says its recipes archive has 1,300-plus low-carb recipes, and its keto meal-plan page advertises a 14-day keto diet meal plan with recipes and shopping lists. A Facebook post tied to the relaunch said the site would add “1-3 new recipes each day,” which is the kind of cadence that matters if you use keto the way most of the community does, for actual weekday planning instead of occasional browsing. Diet Doctor also said the relaunch would bring “more practical meal plans, guides,” a direct shot at the part of keto that breaks down first: figuring out what to eat tomorrow, and then the day after that.
The app side got the same treatment. Diet Doctor’s app page says it is designed to help users stay on track and reach their goals, while Diet Doctor Plus lists a welcome handbook, the app, meal plans and a meal planner, 500-plus videos, weight-loss programs and saved favorites. The company still describes itself as the “#1 low-carb & keto website in the world” and the largest and most popular low carb resource on the internet, so the relaunch is landing on a platform that already has scale behind it.

Eenfeldt, a Swedish medical doctor specialized in family medicine and Diet Doctor’s founder and CEO, has spent 18 years building that audience into a site with more than 50 full-time co-workers, with one company page once putting the number above 60. That is why the test here is not whether Diet Doctor can announce a comeback, but whether daily recipes, better meal planning and a cleaner app make the flagship keto brand worth opening again when dinner needs solving fast.
